Our Capture SDK, which can be native or web, enables the capture of identity document data by taking a picture or a video, reading the chip, or simply scanning and uploading a copy of the documents. The SDK analyzes this flow and detects if a picture with a good quality level can be taken. Our platform supports more than 4,500 different identification document types for over 195 countries, including:

Document Authentication

Our identity document authentication technology includes the following checks:

Digital Tampering Detection – Ensures that no areas have been digitally edited.
Document Identification – Identify submitted image as a known ID document type per library of templates.
Field to Field Consistency – Ensures data in Machine Readable Zones (MRZ) remains consistent across multiple sources in the document,
Checksum Validation – Applying unique rules for generating fields to verify matching with the expected outcome.
Document Presence Detection – Verifies that the document is physically present when checked.
Font Anomaly Detection – Identifies any inconsistencies in text to alert of tampering.

Liveness Detection

Our facial liveness detection solution is composed of two modes: active liveness or passive liveness. “Active liveness” requires the user to perform a series of random challenges (head movements) to prove they are a real and alive person, while the “passive liveness” mode does not require any effort from the user. Both of our liveness detection solutions have been awarded Level 1 and Level 2 compliance by iBeta in accordance with the ISO/IEC 30107-3 standards and have achieved an attack presentation classification error rate (APCER) of 0%.
