PRIVACY STATEMENT

IDEMIA Identity & Security USA LLC  (“IDEMIA”) understands the importance of, and is committed to, protecting and securing the personal data of users. This Privacy Statement is to inform users (“Users”) about IDEMIA’s practices regarding the collection and use of personal data via our website and related services (the “Services”).  It does not apply to any information an entity collects for its own use. Use of the Services constitutes agreement and consent to the practices described in this statement.

This policy does not cover any Websites of third parties. IDEMIA encourages Users to review the privacy statements of other Websites that the User interacts with when using the Services to understand how those Websites collect, use, and share personal information and other data. IDEMIA is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on Websites outside of the Services or the practices of any third-parties with which a User interacts in using the Services.

1. PII AND DATA COLLECTED 

IDEMIA Services may collect PII and Data of Users which may include the following:

  • Name, First Name
  • Company
  • Website
  • Postal address
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Data about a User’s use of the Services, including crash logs and usage statistics.
  • Data about a User’s device and its interaction with the Services, including the type of mobile device, unique user ID, IP address and operating system, and type of browser(s) in use.

In addition, in order to improve navigation on the Website, IDEMIA collects data during User’s visit via the deposit and reading of tracers or cookies that you have the possibility of setting thanks to our [cookies policy]. These User data may include the following:

  • IP address: an IP address is assigned to User’s computer by User’s Internet Service Provider to enable User to access the Internet; the IP identifier changes with each connection and so cannot be identified automatically
  • Login if User navigates on restricted parts of the Website
  • The date and time of User’s visit to the Website, and the pages User has consulted
  • Operating system of User’s computer and the browser software
  • The sites visited by User and the duration of connection.

IDEMIA’s website uses Google analytics and persistent cookies. Data is collected in the form of session information, generated during User’s visits, which is automatically destroyed at the end of the visit or in any case within 30 minutes in case of inactivity by User.

2. RETENTION AND USE OF PII AND DATA 

IDEMIA may use the information collected through the Services in the following way:

2.1 Retention of  PII

IDEMIA keeps the data collected via the Website for the time necessary for the purposes set out in this policy in accordance with the legal and regulatory requirements applicable to retention and limitation periods.

PII necessary or useful in performing Services will be not retained after the connection is terminated.

2.2 Use of  PII and Data

IDEMIA may use Data and PII to:

  • Perform Services;
  • Monitor and improve quality of Services;
  • Improve or develop functionality;
  • Provide anonymized analytics and statistics on the Services;
  • Share anonymized data with third parties;
  • Comply with or enforce legal requirements and policies, including without limitation this Privacy Statement and IDEMIA’s Terms of Use.
  • To respond to requests from visitors to the Website, satisfy the functions of e-mail programs or notify visitors of new features, including new services, of the Website, and if visitors provide permission.

IDEMIA reserves the right to

  • disclose and/or transfer PII and data to a third party if it has reason to believe that disclosing the PII or data is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with either intentionally or unintentionally) our rights or property, other website users or anyone else who could be harmed by such activities.
  • disclose PII or data in response to a subpoena, warrant or other court order, or when we believe in good faith that a law, regulation, subpoena, warrant or other court order requires it or is necessary to respond to an emergency situation.
  • disclose and/or transfer PII or data to a third party in the event of a proposed or actual purchase, sale, lease, merger, or any other type of acquisition, disposal, transfer, conveyance or financing of all or any portion of IDEMIA, or of any of the business of IDEMIA, in order for Users to continue to receive the same products and services from the third party.
  • share information with affiliated entities, professional advisors, such as accountants and lawyers, who assist us in carrying out our business activities.
  • share personal data with third parties engaged to assist IDEMIA in providing services to Users or to carry out one or more of the purposes described above. These service providers are prohibited from using your personal data for any purpose other than to provide this assistance and are contractually required to protect personal data disclosed by IDEMIA and to comply with law and the general privacy principles described in this Privacy Statement. We share your information with service providers, contractors and sub-contractors to help us provide the website, products, events and services.

The processing of data collected via our Website is carried out with your consent and/or in accordance with our legitimate interest.

IDEMIA ensures that data is processed in complete security and confidentiality. To this end, IDEMIA has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures against the loss, hacking, alteration and deletion of data. In particular, our data storage systems are only accessible by a limited number of authorized persons.

IDEMIA  will use commercially reasonable efforts to promptly understand and address the issue.
